People can see on novel rank that they have sales on Amazon that these scam companies like iuniverse won't pay out on. Amazon reveals to EVERYONE when they have sales so iuniverse lies are proven to be lies.

A non scam company wouldn't need authors to "prove" anything there would have records of sales. But these author solutions scam companies all pay rock bottom royalties on books after scamming people of thousands even if they do pay out the royalties are as low as the lowest paying traditional publisher.

Iuniverse in Wasilla, Alaska - I do not understand why my Book was all poetry and orignal one has been sold since 2006???

I have all the original manuscripts to my poems fron 2005/2007.Furthermore I was on Poet workshop with great reviews then I found Poets.com and LULU Website had all my poetry on her website, then they dissappeared. I have all documents to prove that I wrote them. I only want the royalties owed to me. Computer error might have occured. I would much settlew this matter out of court, however if you have sold my poems and did not get my authorization, you know that is against the law. Awaiting your Reply. Thank-You Donna K. A lot of bad things have been said about iUnivers but it really doesn't do justice to how bad they really are. If it is convenient they tell the truth if not they lie.

I had two books published by them, The first by the Lincoln NE.

version, which worked ok, the second by the Indiana version, a complete disaster. Yes they will take your money anyway they can, yes I have problems with royalties.

After 3 years iUniverse is telling me that I did not pay even though they printed the book when it is company policy not to print until all money is paid. the man I gave the information to is gone, I cannot remember which account or credit card I used so I cannot prove I paid them.

Be very careful when dealing with them. Never sent any request for addition money, only once and I sent them e-mails where I told Jason to take payment all at once. Since my computer crashed I cannot prove it again.

Be very careful, wanted to fix the errors and they won't fix them unless I pay again. Go to local printer then you will be more in control of you book.

I published in 2001 on a $99 special and I have sold over 5000 paperback copies to date. But that bbok is HORRIBLE because they had me send a rough draft file, then an edited file yet published the draft and wanted me to pay to fix the book which was on the market. They changed ownership at some point.

They also, sometime in '08 or'09 made my book an ebook without ANY notice, contract, anything. I sent a stop order and they never honored it. Acknowledged it, but never honored it. And we have absolutely no way of knowing if the book sold ebook or not. No tracking mechanism whatsoever.

Now, I recently noted that my original royalty contract of IU is not being honored and I am only being given 10% royalties - it was 30%. They just changed things midstream. They also sell mine as an ebook, with no record or tracking mechanism, and never ever notified me or asked me if ebook was acceptable. We really have no clue how much we sell or if they pay us right.

Last, in 2010 or 2011 I got three royalty checks that all bounced, they'd send a new one, it couldn't be cashed. Over and Over.

Iuniverse in Hazleton, Pennsylvania - ABCDEFG I Love the Alphabet and It Loves Me

I Universe is a money making cash cow for themselves. They continue to call and ask for money to promote books and then you hear nothing from them until the next time. They are a scam!!!!!!!!! I want my book back and for them to have NOTHING to do with it anymore. My book was written and illustrated for young children or those with special needs. I can't even get them to send me a copy of the book much less sell it. I will NEVER do business with them again. It is a shame that they are cheap to publish with but you get what you pay for!

IUniverse is withholding my royalties.

'Cause I e-m & phoned iUniverse for a year & a half, in May '09 was the one & last time iUniverse send me a ck, $41.34 for royalties on my bk AS TIME GOES BY, published '05. Nothing since, even thou I showed them, it is promoted all over the Internet in soft cover & e-book in several languages. And that searching the Internet I find dozens of complaints like mine. How many $ is iUniverse withholding? As I said in my complaints 2 years ago after extensive research I found out I'm not the only one iUniverse is withholding money from. However only iUniverse knows how many $19.95s it is withholding. X 10? That comes to $199.95 X 100? That comes to $1,995. So just pay up iUniverse!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In '08-'09 when I complaint their excuse was:"You only have $19.95 in your royalties account. Cann't mail ck for less than $25. but when I wrote complaints on Internet, the $41.34 was mailed to me by return mail. I see enough complaints on the Internet now, iUniverse, what are you waiting for?
