Have had 5 books published by Iuniverse. My 6th was rejected after review because subject material too critical of Barack Obama and government. They originally accepted my payment and started process, but procrastinated for nearly four months before refusing to...

I bought two books that were misrepresented and when I tried to return them, I got a song and dance and then they said no. Buyer beware.

It is a self publishing with no accountability. Never again.

I am writing on because they demand 50 words. Such a legalistic selfish company.

I can't even begin to tell you of their shake down process without my blood boiling. I did two books with iUniverse. Big mistake. The first book cost me a bundle because of errors (my bad), but when ready for print, they got my name wrong on the cover! They are not...

They outsource all the work to the Philippines where they can pay them commission only at very low rates. Hence the accents.

I published with iUniverse in 2004 and had steady sales, had them even when I self-published through a private printer before that. Book was commercially published in Italy, Poland, China, and Viet-Nam after that and still sold steady on iU. I then bought a package...

I'll keep track on this one (iUniverse) since I have been looking for a better company to self-publish a book.

As an unknown, unpublished author, I researched for months trying to find what I believed to be the best print on demand (POD) publisher. I first tried the "Big Boys;" sent out several dozen query letters, received about six back, three of which said they "might" be...

I published five novels through Iuniverse and have no issue with the physical production of books or the process. The books are to a high standard and appear on all the sites and even in a store in the case of one of my books. What I do take issue with is their...

I paid $1600 for a professional edit, and my book went to print with at least ten typos. When I tried to get these corrected, the company tried to shake me down for another $400 for a block of edits. They accepted no personal responsibility for the shoddy editing job. ...

To get a traditional publisher to publish your book you send them a high quality marketable book you don't spend any money what nonsense Bev talks. And yes I have been published by a traditional publisher and I was a nobody. My father was scammed by this *** company that's how I know about it.

I spent $3000 dollars on a marketing package as this was my first book and I was unsure how to market the book effectively. I received one book review in a minor publication for that amount. Since then I've begun to self promote through social media and I have a 5 star...

I had a contract with IUNIVERSE back when they were in NE .... After they relocated to IN, I couldn't chase anyone down to return my phone calls!!!!! 1. They do not have (true) agents on staff who market your book. They send emails out and later follow up with them to see if they like your material. How much time does it take to send out a generic email to a 100 or so companies (you do the math). How long does it...
